Established in 1881, the majority of this hospital’s facilities in downtown Port-au-Prince were destroyed in the earthquake that shook Haiti in January 2010. With financial and administrative support from Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the campus is being rebuilt on the same site, redeveloping it into a state-of-the-art international university teaching hospital. MSAADA led the design efforts for the phased reconstruction, currently under construction, providing and coordinating architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil design services. The new facilities include 200 beds, and facilities for labor and delivery, newborn and pediatric, medical/surgical, and pre- and post-operative functions.
